Suggested for charters of 4 to 7 days
Great for Scuba Divers and maximum island exploration
Enjoy a short scenic flight to Norman's Cay in the heart of The Exumas. Cliff and Liza, your professional crew, will be waiting to dinghy you out to your private yacht, SOLSTICE, anchored just off the beach. Snorkel the famous sunken drug plane, dinghy or paddleboard into the flats and lagoons, or try spearfishing on nearby coral heads to spear lobster (in season). Treasure hunt or picnic on the charming cay we affectionately call Twinkie Beach. With one lone palm tree, it offers a beautiful beach with some of the best shelling around.
Sail South to Hawksbill Cay, inside the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park. Climb the small cliffs for breathtaking views and add a rock to the Cairn that a few lucky sailors have visited over the years. Explore the ruins of a Loyalist plantation from the 1700's on an adventurous trail that crosses the island to a spectacular deserted beach. Snorkel or scuba dive on the fantastic dive sites further South in the Park. Take a mooring for the evening at Warderick Wells, an old pirate hideout, with a large sandbar in the center of the anchorage.
Sail North to Shroud Cay, and explore the intricate mangrove rivers that wind through this naturalists' paradise. Enjoy white tropic birds with wispy long tails soaring above as you dinghy, paddleboard, or snorkel to the deep blue Exuma Sound. Let the currents carry you through a natural water park, and climb to the top of Camp Driftwood for a spectacular view of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This idyllic anchorage is perfect for evening stargazing and experiencing the true peace and solitude of The Exumas.
Sail North on the Sound, fishing along the way, to reach Hammerhead Gulch, another fantastic dive and snorkel spot. After lunch, hopefully caught along the way, choose from several secluded bays, sandbars, or crescent shaped beaches to explore and enjoy around nearby Lobster Cay and Saddleback Cay.
Sail on to Highbourne Cay's beautiful Horseshoe Bay, where the Octopus Garden reef invites you to explore. Just outside the nearby cut to the Exuma Sound lies incredible fishing and diving in settled weather. Visit the charming marina on the other side of the island, with local fare served at the restaurant, "Xuma".
Before departing on our 32 Nautical Mile sail back to Nassau, we will visit nearby Allan's Cay, famous for its large population of Bahamian Iguanas. A photo opportunity not to be missed, these friendly and curious creatures will scurry down to greet you on the beach! Enjoy an invigorating yet relaxing sail across the Yellow Banks to anchor off of Nassau (weather permitting) or dock at Solstice's private dock in Coral Harbour and experience the local nightlife.
Awake to one last Solstice breakfast and start your travel day easily with a 10 minute taxi-ride to the Nassau International Airport. Reflect on the beauty of the Exumas that will stay with you for a lifetime!
